Byrdsong, the slain father of 3 children, former Northwestern University
basketball coach, and AON employee.
The award is intended to recognize men who:
are good fathers
have reached out and made a difference in the lives of youth
have a demonstrated spiritual dimension to their lives
A panel of individuals including Sherialyn Byrdsong and past awardees review all nominations.
