Joseph Whittington, Jr

Joseph
Whittington, Jr.,
a Harvey resident, was elected to his first term as a member of the
SSC
Board of Trustees in 2005.
He currently serves as Chairperson of the Board’s Audit Committee.
Joseph has been a mentor to countless youth in the community for the
past 24 years.
Married with four children, Whittington is employed by P.A.C.E.
Institute, located within the
Cook County Department of Corrections in
Chicago. Over the past 30 years, he has worked his way
up to the
esteemed position of Senior Facilitator. Whittington has also served as
the 2nd Ward Alderman of Harvey since 2003, where he has initiated
programs to revitalize
the 2nd Ward.
Whittington attended DePaul University for rehabilitation studies and
National Lewis University,
majoring in Business
Administration. He prides himself on being a Boy Scout leader for over
20 years
and an assistant coach for the
Harvey Little League.
He is married, a father of four and has been a resident of Harvey for
over 20 years.
