MICHAEL HOADLEY President of Spinnaker Real Estate Ventures, LLC, Michael has worked in the commercial real estate industry as a salesperson and broker for 14 years for Cushman & Wakefield, Tanguay Burke Stratton, and The Staubach Company, achieving Top Producer Status for the 2003-2004 fiscal period. Michael has represented The Archdiocese of Chicago, General Motors, AT&T, Bombardier, and the United States Federal Government in significantly valued transactions over the past decade. |

While with Staubach, Michael was the point person on handling the single largest Enhanced Use Lease of its kind on behalf of The United States Department of Veterans Affairs in the Streeterville neighborhood in Chicago. The project was the first of its kind by the VA, and it is considered the single largest public private partnership of its kind in Illinois involving a Federal Agency. Michael also drafted the land acquisition strategy for The United States General Services Administration’s Chicago Federal Courthouse expansion program prior to starting his own firm, Spinnaker Real Estate Ventures, LLC.
As current board member and Former President of The University of Illinois Real Estate Alumni Forum, Michael has been active in working towards funding a Real Estate Department Chair at the University of Illinois, and led the Forum’s early support of a Chicago 2016 Olympic Bid.
In 2002, Michael founded The Adamantinoma Research Fund at RUSH University Medical Center after recovering from a cancer diagnosis of the same type the prior year. Since that time, he has worked with other organizations to raise money for the research fund, including raising over $25,000 through the Supernova event in 2003.
After graduating from The University of Illinois with a BS in Finance, Michael was employed as a chapter consultant for The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity traveling to fifty college campuses throughout the Southeast United States assisting with housing and real estate issues during 1993-1994. Michael was very involved at the undergraduate level as a vice president and Midwest Regional Vice President, and subsequently as Vice President of his undergraduate Chapter Alumni Housing Corporation Board of Directors, and President of The Chicago Alumni Association.
He holds a State of Illinois Real Estate Brokerage License, and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member of The Commercial Real Estate Investment Institute. He is a member of The Chicago, Illinois, and National Association of Realtors, has chaired The Mid Day Club Associate Board, as well as The Chicago Community Trust Young Leaders Fund Committee on Neighborhoods. Michael currently serves The Mid Day Club as part of the membership committee, and the Chicago Yacht Club as part of the Membership, Sponsorship, and Education Committees, as a Director of The Illinois Fatherhood Initiative, and was recently invited to membership in The Economic Club of Chicago.
Recreationally, Michael is an avid Sailor, having competed four times in The Chicago Race to Mackinac, the oldest and longest freshwater sailing race in the world, twice as skipper and finishing 95th of a field of 299 yachts in 2006.September 2007
